Key skills for this role
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Full-Stack Engineer to design, build, and operate mission-critical applications and databases on the Oracle platform. You will own solutions end-to-end from APEX UIs to PL/SQL logic and database performance.
Key Skills for This Role
Responsibilities
- Design and build Oracle APEX applications, including pages, components, interactive reports, forms, and responsive UIs that meet business and usability requirements
- Develop, review, and maintain PL/SQL code — packages, procedures, functions, and triggers — applying consistent coding standards and conducting peer code reviews
- Design relational schemas and author DDL, including tables, constraints, indexes, views, and partitioning strategies for large and growing datasets
- Build and secure REST APIs using Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), including endpoint design, authentication, authorization, and access control
- Tune SQL and PL/SQL for performance: analyze execution plans, optimize queries, and design appropriate indexing and partitioning to meet throughput and latency targets
- Perform database administration tasks across development, test, and production environments, supporting availability, capacity, and routine maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve database errors (ORA NNNNN), tracing root causes and implementing durable fixes
- Interpret performance diagnostics from AWR, ADDM, and ASH reports, and translate findings into concrete remediation and capacity planning actions
- Design and maintain partitioned schemas to support scalability, manageability, and efficient data lifecycle management
- Collaborate with application developers, analysts, and operations engineers to deliver well documented, supportable solutions; participate in design discussions and contribute to technical standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as an Oracle developer, database engineer, or equivalent full stack Oracle role
- Expert level PL/SQL development skills, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and bulk processing
- Strong SQL skills with proven experience in query optimization and reading and interpreting execution plans
- Hands on experience building Oracle APEX applications, including pages, components, and UI development
- Experience designing relational schemas and writing production DDL (tables, constraints, indexes, views)
- Demonstrated experience building and securing REST endpoints with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS)
- Practical database administration experience and the ability to diagnose and resolve ORA NNNNN errors
- Working knowledge of Oracle performance tooling — AWR, ADDM, and ASH — and the ability to act on their findings
- Experience designing partitioned tables and schemas for large scale data
- Solid understanding of database security, transaction management, and concurrency
- Front end skills (JavaScript, CSS) to extend and customize APEX applications
