Role Purpose
The Oracle DBA provides database engineering and administration for a migration into a cloud platform.
The role focuses on building, tuning and migrating databases while protecting data integrity and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, configure and administer database environments on the target platform.
- Execute migration, validation and reconciliation from legacy databases.
- Tune performance and support dual-running data synchronisation.
- Resolve database incidents and problems and support defect resolution.
- Maintain database documentation and running instructions.
Essential Skills and Experience
- At least three years of experience as an Oracle DBA is required.
- Strong Oracle database administration and expertise in data migration, validation and reconciliation are required.
- Hands-on performance tuning, backup and recovery experience is required.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration is required.
