Level of education & experience in general
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Higher level education and leadership training a plus.
A minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience is desired to ensure a strong understanding of operating environments and plant processes
Experience in a leadership role is desired to develop and demonstrate the leadership competencies required
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Consistently demonstrate high standards and model the appropriate behaviors
Strong working knowledge of safety, environmental and emergency response requirements
Functionality with various computer programs (SAP, word, excel, etc.)
Technical skills
- Opera ti onal Safety: Knowledge of methods, accepted prac ti ces, considera ti ons and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protec ti on of workers, environment and site
- Opera ti onal Processes: Knowledge of the exis ti ng and planned approaches and methods for chemical processing, mining or minerals processing
- Plant Opera ti ons: Knowledge of the day - to - day opera ti ons of a produc ti on plant or mine site
- Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques used to create and support an environment that meets the needs of the organiza ti on
- Employee Health and Safety: Knowledge of the procedures and programs in place in the organiza ti on to ensure employee safety (occupa ti onal health, fire safety and emergency
- response plan); ability to take appropriate and immediate ac ti ons in case of an emergency
- Behavioral skills
- Organiza ti onal Awareness: Knowledge of the organiza ti on's vision and goals, major func ti onal processes, opera ti ng principles and requirements, values and code of ethics; ability to apply this understanding appropriately to diverse situa ti ons
