Education
Bachelor's or graduate degree from an accredited institution in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Homeland Security, or a related technical field (e.g., Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or Operations Research).
*In lieu of a specific degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, Homeland Security, or a related technical field, a bachelor's or graduate degree in any field coupled with at least five (5) years of documented experience in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Tactical Operations Center (TOC), Joint Operations Center (JOC), or Regional Emergency Coordination Center (RECC) environment.
Required Experience
Relevant experience in operations management for either federal or state organizations.
Proof of completion for the following Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) courses:
i. Incident Command System (ICS)
ICS 100: Introduction to the Incident Command System
ICS 200: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response
ICS 700: National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction.
ICS 800: National Response Framework, An Introduction
Knowledge of:
Microsoft suite applications
Emergency Mass Notification System (EMNS)
Secure Video Teleconferencing (SVTC)
SIPR/NIPR
MAVEN Smart Systems (MSS)
Geographic Information System (GIS)
Aeronautical Reconnaissance Coverage Geographic Information System (ArcGIS)
Windows Team Awareness Kit (WINTAK)
