About the Role

Reporting to the Transport Manager NSW, you will oversee the day-to-day transport operation while directing continuous improvement, service excellence and sustainable growth.

You'll support a diverse transport team and work closely with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding operational outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

Helping transport operations to achieve outstanding safety, service and financial performance

Influencing DIFOT, productivity and customer satisfaction outcomes

Overseeing transport planning, allocation, fleet utilisation and operational workflows

Developing effective relationships with customers, subcontractors and key stakeholders

Ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR, fatigue and mass management requirements

Inspiring and developing a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring and performance management

Creating continuous improvement initiatives across safety, service and operational efficiency

Monitoring transport assets and maintenance programs to ensure safe and reliable operations

Supporting commercial growth opportunities that align with business objectives and strategy.

About You

We're looking for a people-focused operational leader who thrives in fast-paced logistics environments and knows how to balance customer expectations, operational efficiency and team engagement.

You'll bring:

Proven experience within transport, logistics or 3PL operations

An impressive background of improving transport operations within a cold chain or temperature-sensitive environment

In-Depth knowledge of CoR, NHVR and transport compliance requirements

Success in managing operational budgets, KPIs and performance reporting

A demonstrated ability to support, coach and develop medium-sized teams

Outstanding customer relationship management and problem-solving skills

Experience working within food safety, HACCP or regulated environments

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills

Recognised systems capability, including TMS, WMS and Microsoft Office.
