Job Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced and results driven Operations Manager to lead the overall operations, profitability, business development, and strategic growth of a valve service workshop in Abu Dhabi. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high quality repair, maintenance, testing,

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the workshop's annual business plan and growth strategy
  • Establish short term and long term objectives aligned with company goals
  • Drive business expansion and market penetration within the Oil & Gas, Power, Water, and Industrial sectors
  • Identify new opportunities for maintenance contracts, shutdown projects, and valve service agreements

Business Development & Sales

  • Build strong relationships with ADNOC, EPC contractors, end users, consultants, and key industry stakeholders
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiate major service contracts
  • Develop partnerships with valve manufacturers and OEMs
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities
  • Achieve annual revenue and profitability targets

Operations Management

  • Oversee all workshop and field service activities
  • Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, and operational resources
  • Monitor job execution from quotation through completion and invoicing
  • Improve workshop productivity and operational efficiency
  • Ensure timely completion of projects and customer orders

Financial Management

  • Manage workshop budgets, costs, and profitability
  • Review and approve major quotations, purchases, and capital expenditures
  • Monitor monthly financial performance and implement corrective actions when required
  • Drive continuous improvement in margins and cost control initiatives

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and customer requirements
  • Maintain quality management systems and relevant industry certifications
  • Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, ADNOC, and other applicable standards
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop workshop managers, engineers, supervisors, and support staff
  • Establish performance objectives and KPIs
  • Identify training and development requirements
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Customer Relations

  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Participate in high level customer meetings and presentations
  • Resolve critical customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Represent the organization at industry events and business meetings

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • MBA will be an advantage
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in valve maintenance, repair, testing, and service operations
  • Minimum 5 10 years of experience in a senior management position
  • Strong knowledge of industrial valves, actuators, safety valves, and control valves
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities
  • Experience in business development and commercial management
  • Financial management and budget control expertise
  • Strong workshop operations management experience
  • Customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in contract negotiation and commercial discussions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
