- Oversee day to day operation and maintenance of the Platform, ensuring high availability and reliability
- Manage a team of operations and support staff, providing guidance and mentoring
- Monitor and optimize platform performance on Azure/Google Cloud, including cost management and resource allocation
- Develop and implement incident response procedures, leading the team in resolving critical issues
- Collaborate with security and compliance team to enforce best practices and compliance standards
- Evaluate system performance and resource utilization for capacity planning
- Liaise with third party vendors and technology partners for seamless integration and functionality
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Support adoption of ITIL and service management best practices
- Manage operations budget, including forecasting and expenditure tracking
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of technical operations management experience, preferably in cloud based environments
- Strong background in Azure/Google Cloud services
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Deep understanding of cloud computing, IaC, and DevOps principles
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, compliance, and risk management
- Proficiency in incident response, problem resolution, and performance optimization
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect) preferred
- ITIL certification is a plus

General Job Description

- As a Technical Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the platform.
- You will lead a team of technical experts and collaborate with various stakeholders to guarantee seamless operations, system availability, and continuous improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day operation and maintenance of the Platform, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Manage a team of operations and support staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Monitor and optimize platform performance on Azure/Google Cloud, including cost management and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement incident response procedures, leading the team in resolving critical issues promptly and effectively.

Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in technical operations management, preferably in cloud based environments, with a strong background in Azure/Google Cloud services.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing, infrastructure as code (IaC), and DevOps principles.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, compliance, and risk management.
- Proficiency in incident response, problem resolution, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Certified: Professional Cloud Architect) preferred.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts, architectures, and tools related to the smart city platform space.
- Ability to analyze complex technical solutions and data, identify trends and insights, and make informed decisions.
- Ability to identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
