Responsibilities
- Conduct Technical Evaluation to evaluate technical offers from bidders in line with company material specification
- Review technical documentation to support decision process and coordinate with user focal point
- Assist company Materials Engineer in evaluation of Price Agreement items and technical review process
- Review and approve drawings against specification of stock items
- Review and action to resolve CNRs or Post Order queries
- Support Warehousing Staff on Stock discrepancy issues and update SAP for data integrity
- Maintain liaison with end users, vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, inventory and senior storekeepers
- Maintain documentation archive using ECM software
- Generate weekly and monthly reports and submit to Sr. Material Engineer
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Plant Maintenance (Oil & Gas, Chemical or Petro chemical) or Technical evaluation of materials
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in oil and gas / Allied Process Industry
- Experience in Technical evaluation of Electrical Spares, Pipeline Components, Consumables
- Knowledge of Engineering and International Standards
- Computer literate with knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office
- Good written and spoken English
- IOSH certificate Managing Safely or equivalent is mandatory prior to start

Responsibilities
- Conduct Technical Evaluation to evaluate technical offers from bidders in line with company material specification.
- Reviews technical documentation available to support the decision process. In case of deficiency or inconsistency noticed, co ordinates as necessary with user focal point and confirms technical suitability to purchasing. Ensures that item master/catalogue is updated according to the agreed descripti
- Assist company Materials Engineer in evaluation of Price Agreement items and any technical review process by investigating and making information available, to support the decision making process.
- Review and approve drawings against specification of stock items for material groups allocated in consultation with company Material Engineer.
- Review and action to resolve CNRs (Complaint Notification Report) or Post Order queries in a timely manner.
- Support Warehousing Staff on Identified Stock discrepancy (SDR) issues and address the issue to Expediting supervisor for dispute resolution and carry out required Updates in SAP for data integrity.
- Maintains regular Liaison with end users’ Engineers, vendors/ suppliers/ manufacturers, inventory and senior storekeepers. Conducts physical verification whenever required and obtains feedback on materials full description, interchangeability and raise Code change Forms (CCF) to eliminate duplicate/
- Maintain documentation archive using ECM (Enterprise Content Management) software
- Adhere to section work instructions / guidelines to perform the TE activities
- Generate weekly and monthly reports and submit to Sr. Material Engineer (TE).
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering under respective discipline (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation).
Experience & Technical Skills
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Plant Maintenance (Oil & Gas, Chemical or Petro chemical) or Technical evaluation of materials out of which minimum of 6 years’ experience in oil and gas / Allied Process Industry. Exposure to supply chain environment is preferable.
- Experience in Technical evaluation of Mechanical / Electrical Spares, Pipeline Components, Consumables is required.
- General knowledge of process system, Equipment & Materials used in Refineries and the Oil & gas Industry. Shall have good practical skills, hands on experience in Procurement, engineering, construction, maintenance.
- Knowledge and Experience in reviewing Engineering drawings, process data sheets, parts list, Certificates, Spare Parts Interchangeability Record (SPIR) and Manufacture Catalogues.
- Knowledge of Engineering and International Standards.
- Shall be Computer literate with specific knowledge of Material Equipment/Spare Parts cataloguing systems (Shell or SAP) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Good written and spoken English, problem solving skills, technical communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to understand and follow international safety standard followed in Oil & Gas industry. IOSH certificate Managing Safely or equivalent is mandatorily required prior to start working with Company.
