Company Description

Tahaluf is a Saudi Arabia-based B2B live and on-demand events organiser and a joint venture involving Informa PLC, SAFCSP, and EIF.

The company delivers large-scale events including LEAP, Cityscape, Black Hat MEA, and CPHI Middle East.

Role Overview

Portfolio 3 is expanding its Operations team with an Operations Manager for events including CPHI Middle East, Umrah & Ziyarah Forum, and Saudi Maritime & Logistics Congress.

The role supports delivery of the Umrah & Ziyarah Forum ecosystem and the Innovation Driven Water Sustainability event.

The Operations Manager is accountable for professional operational delivery of allocated events, features, and projects to high standards.

The role reports to the Head and Senior Operations Managers and is expected to eventually take full lead of assigned operational streams involving ministry stakeholders.

Operational Duties

  • Act as the key point of contact for internal and external show teams across allocated events.
  • Set, regularly forecast, and achieve operational show budgets for allocated events.
  • Manage delivery of multiple physical and digital events, including features and related operational tasks.
  • Manage project plans and ensure operational tasks are completed on time and within deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, security, and sustainability guidelines.
  • Implement service-level agreements and oversee delivery of the show exhibitor manual.
  • Coordinate suppliers and show teams on design, production, signage, registration, and welcome experiences.
  • Compile post-event reports and KPI analyses.
  • Monitor contractor performance with Procurement and identify remedial action where required.

Management

  • Manage, mentor, and develop line reports and other EMEA Operations team members across multiple events.
  • Set and monitor performance objectives and identify training needs.
  • Work with colleagues to improve operational planning and management practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree-level education or equivalent.
  • At least five years of experience in events, exhibitions, or a similar field.
  • Successful independent management of operations for multiple large events.
  • Experience managing, supporting, and developing multiple line reports simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of the exhibition industry, venues, and official contractors.

Skills and Certifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to work with operations colleagues and report to director-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to anticipate problems, create contingency plans, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Knowledge of exhibition health and safety guidelines and implementation.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with common business and project management software.
  • IOSH Managing Safety Certificate or equivalent as a minimum.
  • Prior large-budget management experience is a plus.

Contract and Work Arrangement

  • This is a nine-month contract role.
  • The role can be performed remotely.
  • The employer does not provide relocation or sponsorship support.
