About the Role
Phoenix Concrete Products is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee operational functions across its manufacturing facilities.
The role covers production, maintenance, production planning, yard operations, internal logistics, and stores.
The manager will work with Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and HSE teams to align production capacity with demand and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing operations across production, maintenance, planning, yard operations, logistics, and stores.
- Achieve production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational KPIs.
- Develop production schedules and optimize plant capacity for customer demand.
- Drive equipment reliability through preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Monitor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and raw material utilization to minimize waste and costs.
- Oversee finished-goods handling, internal logistics, and inventory control.
- Implement continuous improvement and corrective actions for operational issues.
- Lead and develop supervisors, shift leaders, and operational teams.
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and manufacturing best practices.
- Support budgets, capital projects, operational planning, and new production initiatives.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in the building materials or concrete products industry.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably concrete products, production planning, equipment reliability, operational controls, and PMP.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams and define operational KPIs.
- Strategic planning, data-driven decision-making, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of inventory management, preferably with ERP systems, and HSE policy adherence.
