Responsibilities
- Identify means to quantitatively or qualitatively support assessment of key business objectives through KPIs and metrics
- Create plans for bringing together data sources, working with Corporate stakeholders as necessary
- Identify and assess data sources for suitability and remediate data quality and integrity issues
- Connect data sources to enable collective analysis
- Develop dashboards, reports and data visualizations providing meaningful insights to performance
- Perform analyses identifying trends, patterns, anomalies and opportunities for improvement
- Provide evidence based data interpretations and recommendations
- Collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to understand business challenges and information needs
- Assess processes using value stream mapping and create as is and to be process depictions
- Create/revise process descriptions, artifacts and training materials
- Maintain the Business Process System (BPS) through evaluation of Change Requests and administration of Change Control Board meetings
- Serve as local MS SharePoint administrator and maintain BPS infrastructure
Requirements
- Two or three year accredited diploma or certificate program in data analysis
- Minimum 2 years of experience in definition, implementation, maintenance and administration of business processes
- Working knowledge of and administrator level hands on experience with Power BI
- Experience with database management systems and SQL
- Microsoft SharePoint site level administrator experience including HTML and Java scripting capabilities
- Experience with a structured change implementation methodology as applied to business processes
- Willingness to extend technical capabilities through learning
- Strong interpersonal skills, peer collaboration and teamwork
- Proven communication skills with ability to present to multiple stakeholder groups
- Experience working within a quality management system or ISO or CMMI certified workplace (asset)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Infor LN) (asset)
- History of taking initiative while diplomatically keeping leadership stakeholders informed (asset)

Role
- The Operations Data Analyst reports to the Director, Mission Assurance within the Administration function of Programs & Operations Team.
- Works with business stakeholders to realize business intelligence through structured data analysis, processing and visualization.
- Also includes Process Specialist responsibilities: define, implement, deploy and maintain processes and administer supporting systems.
Business Intelligence Initiation
- Identifies means to quantitatively or qualitatively support assessment of key business objectives through KPIs and metrics.
- Creates plans for bringing together data sources, working with Corporate stakeholders as necessary.
Business Intelligence Realization
- Identifies and assesses data sources for suitability and remediates data quality and integrity.
- Connects data sources to enable collective analysis.
- Develops dashboards, reports and data visualizations providing meaningful insights.
- Performs analyses identifying trends, patterns, anomalies and opportunities for improvement.

Implementation and Change Initiatives Facilitation
- Collaborates with leaders and subject matter experts to understand business challenges.
- Administrates identification, prioritization and effort reporting of process improvement initiatives.
- Assesses processes using value stream mapping, creating as is and to be depictions.
- Facilitates discovery activities with process stakeholders.
- Creates/revises process descriptions, artifacts and training materials.
Supporting Systems Administration
- Establishes and maintains the process improvement roadmap.
- Maintains the BPS through evaluation of Change Requests and administration of Change Control Board meetings.
- Participates in review of Lessons Learned reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Leads disposition of OFI records.
- Serves as local MS SharePoint administrator and maintains BPS infrastructure.
- Performs process change impact assessments.
- Establishes and maintains a process improvement performance dashboard.
Requirements (experience/skills)
- Two or three year accredited diploma or certificate program in data analysis.
