About the Role
Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare seeks an experienced Operating Room Nurse 3 to provide complex perioperative nursing care, act as scrub or circulating nurse, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality nursing care services focusing on complex cases in the operating room
- Act as scrub or circulating nurse according to the OR schedule
- Set up the operating room according to the type of operation and AORN recommendations
- Assist the surgeon during complex operative, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Ensure all pre, intra and post op documentation is completed in a timely manner
- Monitor patients in PACU utilizing ASPAN and JHAH standards
Requirements
- 3 years International Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Nursing
- Current licensure as a professional registered nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as applicable per scope of service
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as applicable per scope of service
- Minimum 5 years of Nursing Experience including 4 years working as an Operating Room Nurse

Job Description Summary
- The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) works in Dhahran Operating Room (OR) and provides a wide range of complex and direct quality and evidence based professional nursing care to patients guided by organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Operational Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality nursing care services focusing on complex cases.
- Assist in managing workflow ensuring proper resource utilization and providing mentorship to junior nurses.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and participates in the evaluation of patient outcomes.
- Achieve and/or maintain the mandated set of activities for level 3 as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document patient care.
- Provide nursing care and patient/family education consistent with the plan of care.
- Precept new hires and trainees during the probation training period.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency and life saving situations.
- Perform a wide range of nursing procedures with attention to accuracy, patient safety and comfort.
- Represent unit or department on committees, special interest groups and task forces as assigned.
- Act as a scrub or circulating nurse according to the OR schedule.
- Set up the operating room according to the type of operation and AORN recommendations.
Minimum Education & Experience
- 3 years International Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
- Current licensure as a professional registered nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as applicable per scope of service.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as applicable per scope of service.
- Minimum 5 years of Nursing Experience including 4 years working as an Operating Room Nurse.
