Role Overview
The OFR Operations Manager leads ocean freight operations in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The role oversees managers, supervisors, and specialists while owning operational performance, service quality, profitability, and P&L responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities
- Own the ocean freight station P&L and drive gross profit and productivity.
- Lead operational teams and ensure adherence to global shipment processes.
- Manage customer escalations, service quality, retention, and market growth.
- Build supplier relationships and improve supplier performance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
- Develop teams and foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
Stakeholders
Influence policies, practices, and procedures beyond the immediate job area.
Build relationships with DHL business leaders and coordinate external service providers.
Advise customers and key stakeholders on processes, systems, and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or qualification.
- Six or more years of experience.
- Experience managing experienced professionals who work independently.
