About the Role
Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer to ensure the safety and security of guests and property. The role involves patrolling, monitoring surveillance, responding to emergencies, and conducting investigations.

Responsibilities
- Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access
- Monitor surveillance screens and conduct daily physical hazard inspections
- Respond to accidents and assist guests and employees in emergency situations
- Defuse conflict situations and escort individuals off property as needed
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview involved parties
- Complete appropriate shift reports and maintain confidentiality of all loss prevention documents
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No prior work experience required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Teamwork aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Good judgment and professional attitude
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) unassisted and assist with items over 75 lbs (34 kg)

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods

- Enter and retrieve work related information using computers and point of sale systems
