About the role
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of high-quality occupational therapy services to children and young people with mild to moderate traumatic brain injury and concussion.
Key duties of the role
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to patients presenting with concussion and mild to moderate acquired brain injury, and complex rehabilitation needs
- Contribute to a positive multi-disciplinary team environment
Skills and Experience
- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Provision and promotion of high quality, efficient and effective Occupational Therapy services
- Relevant Paediatric Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation theories and models

Skills and Experience
- Ability to ensure the provision and promotion of high quality, efficient and effective Occupational Therapy services to children and young people with acquired brain injury and their families.
- Experience in working in an acute hospital setting and working with children, adolescents and their caregivers in a health and/or welfare setting
- Knowledge of community resources related to the health and welfare of adolescents, children and their caregivers
- Knowledge of relevant Occupational Therapy rehabilitation and paediatric theories and models
