- Oversee patient care delivery ensuring safety and effectiveness
- Coordinate clinical activities and staffing for assigned shifts
- Develop and revise patient care plans
- Facilitate patient education and maintain clinical records
- Act as clinical resource and participate in multidisciplinary rounds
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with advanced nursing skills
- Current life support certifications (BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP)
- Experience in OPD or clinical unit leadership

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure and oversee safe, appropriate, and effective patient care
- Determine nursing interventions based on assessment data
- Prioritize identified needs and implement nursing actions
- Evaluate patient outcomes and develop or revise plan of care
- Coordinate overall clinical activities when assigned as charge nurse
- Collaborate with Nursing Supervisor on shift staffing
- Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical programs
- Evaluate patient and bystander ability to participate in care decisions
- Facilitate patient education and maintain accurate clinical records
- Perform advanced or specialized nursing skills competently
- Act as clinical resource for department staff
- Communicate and consult with other health care disciplines
Qualifications
- Current knowledge of clinical nursing practice
- Proficiency in essential life support (BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP)
- Ability to participate in development of standards and protocols
- Facilitate evidence based practice and promote change in nursing practice
- Proactive role in training, education, and CQI activities
