Responsibilities
- Supervise and control drilling operation activities during night shift
- Ensure safety of personnel, equipment, and efficiency of operations on drill floor
- Plan and schedule all drilling and associated activity
- Ensure well control requirements are in place and supervise well killing operations
- Maintain and test well control equipment
- Assist OIM in ensuring sufficient stock of parts and materials
- Prepare rig for towing and secure equipment prior to rig move
- Maintain logs and records, submit required reports
- Mentor, develop and train team members
Requirements
- Minimum education level: High School or Vocational/Technical Qualification
- Minimum 15 years of working experience in drilling and workover operations
- Minimum 2 years in tool pusher position
- Must have working experience on Offshore rigs
- Intermediate level in English language (written & spoken)
- Valid Well Control (Well Sharp / IADC) Certificate

Job Summary
- Supervise and control the entire drilling operation activities during the night shift, ensuring the successful completion of the well and drilling activities while liaising closely with OIM or deputize for the OIM as and when required.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensures the safety of personnel, equipment, and the efficiency of operations on the drill floor and other drilling operation associated areas.
- Plans and schedules all drilling and associated activity.
- Ensures any deviation from client well plan is approved by OIM.
- Relieve the Driller at the Driller's console as operational requirement demands.
- Ensures that all necessary equipment is ready for the next phase of the Drilling / Workover program.
- Assists & supervises drilling crew at the worksite at all relevant times.
- Operates the drilling unit with strict adherence to company Drilling & Well Control manuals.
- Ensure that well control requirements are in place according to operational requirements.
- Plans & monitors comprehensive well control parameters.
- Maintains and regularly tests well control equipment.
- Perform all well control calculations.
- To be part of the Rig's Emergency Response Team.
Job Requirements
- Minimum education level required: High School or Vocational/Technical Qualification.
- Minimum 15 years of working experience in drilling and workover operations with reputable drilling contractors with a career history showing time served as an Assistant Driller, Driller and Tool Pusher.
- Minimum two years in tool pusher position.
- Must have working experience on Offshore rigs.
- Intermediate level in English language (written & spoken).
- PC literate in Microsoft Office.
- Advanced Mathematical skills.
- Situation Awareness, Communication, Teamwork, Performance shaping factors stress and fatigue, inspecting work.
- Regularly climbing (stairs, ladders).
- Regularly bending, twisting, and standing.
- Ability to work outdoors under all extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to work up to 12 hours/day during his shift.
