Overview
The Network Administrator owns network, server, and endpoint infrastructure and delivers end-user support across the business.
The role keeps systems available and secure while providing prompt and reliable assistance to users.
Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-line support, including logging, triage, resolution, and closure within agreed service levels.
- Administer LAN, switching, and wireless networks, including performance and coverage.
- Operate and maintain firewalls, remote access, and VPN services under approved change control.
- Administer Windows servers through monitoring, patching, updates, capacity management, and routine housekeeping.
- Monitor backups and perform scheduled restore testing with documented evidence.
- Administer Microsoft 365 users, groups, licenses, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Execute joiner, mover, and leaver processes, access provisioning and revocation, and access-review evidence.
- Support endpoints and peripherals, including laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and meeting-room equipment.
- Maintain IT asset, license, inventory, and procurement records.
- Maintain patch compliance, endpoint protection, credential hygiene, and network documentation.
- Participate in an out-of-hours support roster.
