Naval Architect Intern/Co op - Halifax

Minimum Requirements

• Student enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering Program in Canadian University, with a focus in Naval Architecture .

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with the preparation of technical reports
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Education: Senior Student in Naval Architectural Engineering preferred, though interested junior students will also be considered.

Physical Demands

Special Position Requirements

• 40 hours per week
• Work at shipyards and onboard ships.
• Potential occasional domestic travel.
• Halifax, Nova Scotia based position. The student will work from the Thales Halifax Office in Burnside, and may occasionally have to visit the DND Facilities and HMC Dockyard in Halifax to attend the ships during maintenance work periods.
• The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between Total Target Cash (TTC) $45,000 - $55,000 -65,000 CAD Annual.
• This reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many.
