Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Role overview

Schedule and workplace

• The role follows a continental shift pattern of four days on and four days off.
• Shifts cover days and nights from 6:30am to 6:30pm.
• The position is based on site in Keele, Cheshire.

Compensation

• The posting states a salary of £49,764 including shift allowance, plus premium-paid overtime and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on process equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
• Provide engineering support across the manufacturing site.
• Ensure equipment is maintained effectively in production and support areas.

Mission-critical skills

• Good working knowledge of mechanical engineering.
• Apprentice-trained mechanical engineer to NVQ Level 3.
• Experience in mechanical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance.
• Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics is an advantage.
• Fabrication and welding experience is beneficial.
• Understanding of environmental, health and safety issues and regulatory requirements.
• Team-oriented approach with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
