Provide technical and strategic leadership across mobile app scrum teams in Dubai.
Lead the most senior app-team function in Dubai while supporting vendor management, collaboration, software engineering quality, and agile delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Dubai app scrum teams and foster a supportive, productive environment.
- Oversee the Build-Operate-Transfer of key staff.
- Ensure consistency and robust support across app scrum teams.
- Set team vision and create a strategic growth plan.
- Partner with engineering leadership and the SVP and Head of App on global app objectives.
- Identify technologies, tools, and practices that improve standards.
Required Experience
- At least 10 years of software or app development experience and 4 years of people management experience.
- Strong mobile engineering background as an iOS or Android specialist.
- Experience leading teams that build and ship large-scale mobile applications serving millions of users.
- Demonstrated Agile delivery and continuous-improvement experience across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience managing and collaborating with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
Mobile Engineering Skills
- iOS-focused candidates should have proficiency in Swift, MVVM, RxSwift, SwiftUI, and Combine.
- Android-focused candidates should have expertise in Kotlin and hands-on experience with Volley, RxJava, and Dagger.
- Familiarity with mobile apps for robot vacuum cleaners is advantageous.
