Own planning and execution of compliance and certification tasks with partnering U.S. government entities
Produce accreditation and authorization deliverables on a tight timeline that comply with applicable regulations
Collaborate with SpaceX technical departments to prepare design, analysis, and test data packages and briefings for government representatives
Identify technical and schedule issues that impact customer requirements; develop handling plans and drive them to closure across engineering teams
Work closely with SpaceX technical departments to develop technical rationales, mitigate technical risks, and ensure product deliveries remain on schedule
Organize and lead program milestone reviews, technical interchange meetings, and regular working group meetings
Negotiate, develop, and ensure timely delivery of technical products and customer data requests
Coordinate certification tasks and requirements with technical teams so they can plan work appropriately to meet customer expectations and maintain schedule
Partner with security and engineering teams on design and architecture decisions that satisfy security requirements while leveraging SpaceX’s core technologies
Act as a primary customer interface and security liaison with mission stakeholders; develop and refine security requirements for current and future products
Support all phases of the program from initial proposal through test, flight, and on-orbit commissioning, including educating the customer on SpaceX designs and methodologies
Serve as the customer interface at meetings, tests, and reviews; communicate technical positions clearly and defend them with evidence
Ensure contract deliverables are completed on time; distill customer requirements into actionable development objectives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or computer science
2+ years of experience in technical program management, systems engineering, or mission integration engineering
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience developing high-assurance systems
Experience interfacing with U.S. government customers on technical certification, accreditation, or similarly high-scrutiny reviews

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with particular strength in precise, customer-facing technical writing and briefings
Experience presenting to and negotiating with external customers (preferably U.S. Government)
Prior work on space, defense, or other security- or safety-critical systems
Ability to work independently and in a team, take initiative, and communicate effectively
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance, or the ability to obtain one
An active clearance may provide the opportunity for you to work on sensitive SpaceX missions; if so, you will be subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing
Must be willing to travel to launch sites, vendors, and customers as necessary — up to 10% travel
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed to support critical project deliverables
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
