Day to day duties will include:
Shadow experienced professionals to develop job knowledge and provide input on current practices.
Travel Underground to perform inspections and collect data.
Assist the department with Mine Ventilation or Mine Planning duties as required.
Assist in evaluating and formulating solutions for projects aimed at improving mining processes under the guidance of senior team members.
Support geophysical surveys by preparing equipment, collecting data, and learning traditional and innovative techniques.
Participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
Help collect, organize, and interpret geological and operational data, contributing to the exchange of ideas and recommendations across departments.
Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.
Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.
Third year or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Mining/Geological Engineering or Geoscience is preferred. Relevant Civil or Mechanical Engineering programs also considered.

Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining environment.
1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship

Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams), are required.
Experience working in a team environment is a must
Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable
Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
