About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Mining Coordinator to join the team at our Cooljarloo Mine site, 170km to the North of Perth CBD. This is a Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) role, working an 8 on / 6 off roster. Camp accommodation and meals are provided whilst on site.
Reporting to the Mining Manager, this role will be accountable for:
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite supervision of earthmoving and haulage operations, including the movement of overburden, ore, topsoil stripping and vegetation clearing, ensuring activities are completed in accordance with the mine plan, environmental requirements and applicable government regulations.
- Conduct daily quarry inspections and report hazards, defects and non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and manage site civil works across all departments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and within approved budgets.
- Manage and maintain tailings storage facilities (TSFs), haul roads, access roads, waste dump facilities and associated infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation, minimising operational risks.
- Supervise and coordinate bulk haulage contractors and specialist subcontractors undertaking civil, mining and rehabilitation works, ensuring compliance with site safety requirements, operational standards and project specifications.
