Mechanical Technician

Tronox is seeking experienced and safety-focused Mechanical Technicians (Fitters and Boilermaker Welders) to join our maintenance team at the Wonnerup Mine Site , located near Busselton in the heart of Western Australia's South West region. This permanent , full-time opportunity offers the chance to work within a mining operation while enjoying an outstanding lifestyle, with no FIFO requirements and the benefit of being home every night. There are options to work either a 9day fortnight (Friday RDO) or a rotating roster of 8 days on then 6 days off , you'll enjoy regular long weekends and excellent work-life balance. Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator , you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and performance of a diverse range of fixed and mobile plant equipment across the site. Your day-to-day activities will include fault finding, preventative maintenance, repairs, equipment installation, inspections, and testing, ensuring plant availability and operational efficiency. You will play a key role in supporting production by identifying potential equipment issues before they impact operations, undertaking planned and shutdown maintenance activities, and collaborating closely with operations personnel to achieve site objectives.

Due to fatigue management requirements, applicants must reside no further than 45 minutes from Wonnerup Mine, as there are no camp facilities available at site.
