We are seeking a Senior Designer/Draftsperson to join our Technology & Improvement (T&I) team based at the Australind Pigment Plant, just north of Bunbury in the South West of WA. This position will be offered on a permanent full time basis, working a 38-hour week compressed into a 9-day fortnight with every second Friday off!
Reporting to the T&I Projects Lead, this role is responsible for managing the design, development and maintenance of asset documentation for electrical and instrumentation systems on site. As the Senior Designer/Draftsperson, you will coordinate engineering designs, drawings, schedules and data sheets from preliminary concepts, ensuring all projects adhere to established company procedures, client specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Key responsibilities include leading the electrical design team to deliver high quality master documents and calculations across all designing and drafting phases, and reviewing designs to ensure compliance with relevant standards. You will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary stakeholders to support continuous improvement initiatives, providing technical expertise and guidance to others within the team. This role also requires the supervision of electrical design/drafting contractors, allocation of work, managing their delivery schedules, and checking conformance of their design work with required standards.

To be successful in your application, you will ideally posses:
Certificate IV, Diploma or relevant experience in Electrical Design and Drafting
Demonstrated experience in design/plant drafting (similar industry preferred), covering electrical & instrumentation design and P&ID deliverables (e.g. layouts, schematics, SLDs, loop drawings, PLC/DCS terminations, hook-ups, specifications)
Proficiency in computer aided design software (AutoCAD, 3D modelling viewers)
Strong knowledge of industry regulations and Australian standards
Experience with HV/LV and earthing design drawings (desirable)
Exposure to SAP (advantageous)
Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
Proactive and collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary project teams
