Role Overview

The Minibar Attendant ensures that guest-room minibars are accurately stocked, maintained, and presented according to hotel standards.

The role provides efficient and discreet service to hotel guests.

Minibar Operations

  • Check and replenish minibars according to established par levels and standards.
  • Record minibar consumption and ensure charges are posted or communicated according to hotel procedures.
  • Check expiry dates, product quality, packaging, and presentation.
  • Maintain stock levels, assist with inventory control, and keep equipment and storage areas clean and hygienic.

Guest Rooms and Coordination

  • Report missing items, damaged equipment, maintenance issues, and unusual findings promptly.
  • Follow room-entry procedures, respect Do Not Disturb signs, and protect guest privacy.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, Finance, and Food and Beverage teams when required.
  • Minimize wastage through proper FIFO product rotation and maintain accurate stock and consumption records.

Standards and Service

  • Follow food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and brand standards.
  • Provide courteous and professional service whenever interacting with guests.

Qualifications

  • Previous minibar, housekeeping, room service, or hotel operations experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory and stock-control procedures.
  • Good attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • Guest-focused, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
