Mine Technician - Development
Anglo American seeks a Mine Technician to provide technical support to the underground development team.
The role involves operating mining equipment, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
Candidates must have experience in underground coal mining, strong technical skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a variety of underground mining equipment.
- Maintain a safe and productive mining environment.
- Apply statutory obligations as required.
- Operate equipment to consistently deliver specified hourly targets.
- Work proactively with on-shift peers to ensure a high level of safety and productivity to agreed standards and responsibilities.
- Assist with maintenance activities as required.
- Actively ensure all personal authorisations and competencies are maintained.
- Uniformly applying Anglo American standards and procedures i.e. the mine Safety & Health Management System & Anglo Golden Rules.
Requirements
- Experience in an underground coal mining environment.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of mine planning, development processes and operational reporting.
