Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair plant facilities including general repairs, plumbing, wall repair
- Support and coordinate repairs on HVAC, compressors, internal heaters
- Maintain and repair sprinkler and fire management systems
- Maintain and repair shop equipment and machinery
- Develop and carry out preventive maintenance activities
- Manage external contractors as required
- Maintain repair parts stock and inventory
- Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders, weld and fabricate parts
- Assemble machinery and equipment using hand and power tools and welding equipment
- Support R&D projects and set up equipment for trials
- Maintain safety standards and perform duties safely
- Manage assigned work orders in CMMS
Requirements
- Ontario Certificate of Qualification as Millwright
- Minimum 2 years of experience as Millwright/Maintenance Technician
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment (stamping presses, gear boxes, etc.)
- Able to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics
- Basic Electrical / PLC knowledge
- Physically able to perform essential duties
- Valid passport and driver's license

Qualification Requirements
- Ontario Certificate of Qualification as Millwright.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as Millwright/Maintenance Technician.
- Knowledge of Automotive industry equipment (hydraulic and mechanical stamping presses, lasers, robots, welders, CNC equipment) an asset.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical/HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and ability to troubleshoot valves, accumulators, cylinders.
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment (stamping presses, gear boxes, drive systems, ball screws).
- Able to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications.
- Basic Electrical / PLC knowledge.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.
- Able to be flexible in hours of work (scheduled and non scheduled overtime).
- Must be able to operate Forklift, Crane, and Articulating Boom/Manlift – training can be provided.
- Physically able to perform essential duties.
Job Responsibilities
- Compensation Range: $35 to $44/hour.
- Immediate, Open Position.
- Maintain and repair plant facilities – general repairs, minor plumbing, wall repair.
- Support and coordinate repairs on HVAC, compressors, internal heaters.
- Responsible for maintenance and repairs on sprinkler and fire management systems.
- Coordinate and manage general building maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain and repair shop equipment and machinery.
- Develop/update and carry out preventive maintenance activities.
- Management of external contractors, as required.
- Maintain repair parts stock and inventory.
- Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders and weld and fabricate parts.
- Assemble machinery and equipment using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
