About the Role

Responsibilities
- Develop complex components and assemblies for automotive programs
- Compile and maintain APQP and internally required Engineering documents (Eng. Specs., DFMEA, DVP&R, etc.)
- Participate and execute as part of a Cross Functional Team
- Act as liaison to customer/supplier, managing communication and relationships
- Execute project development from concept to production release
- Generate innovative solutions to problems and open potential avenues to new products/patents/cost savings
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other Engineers
- Analyze and investigate failures in the field or testing using TIR and 8D process
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of diversified engineering experience within the product segment
- Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing & assembly process
- Strong communication skills: verbal and written
- Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management and database software
- Proficient with industry standard processes like APQP, 8D, DFM/DFA, TS, SPC, DFSS

Job Summary
- Project Engineer assigned to develop complex components and assemblies for automotive technologies.
- Programs include existing and new customers, new technology introduction, accelerated development cycles and integrated product lines.
Job Responsibilities
- Compile and maintain APQP and internally required Engineering documents (Eng. Specs., DFMEA, DVP&R, Key Characteristic Maps, DFM/DFA, Lessons Learned).
- Effectively participate and execute as part of a Cross Functional Team.
- Ensure accurate execution of assignments related to PEP/IDP process while maintaining disciplined document release control.
- Act as a liaison to customer/supplier, managing communication, relationship building, meetings, presentations.
- Consult and collaborate with personnel on various Engineering and Design activities.
- Generate innovative solutions to problems that resolve issues on projects.
- Execute project development from concept to production release.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring as needed to other Engineers.
- Analyze and investigate failure in the field or testing and follow TIR and 8D process.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of diversified engineering experience within the product segment.
- Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing & assembly process.
- Strong communication skills: verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to successfully complete multiple tasks.
- Solid understanding of 3D modeling/design process with demonstrated competency in GD&T.
- Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management and database software.
- Proficient with industry standard processes like APQP, 8D, DFM/DFA, TS, SPC, DFSS.
Salary Range
- CAD 75,000 CAD 100,000 Annual.
