Job Description

  • The Wall Street Journal is looking for a Middle East correspondent to cover the intersection of business and politics in the region.
  • Topics include AI in the UAE, megaprojects in Saudi Arabia, and deals cut by President Trump’s family and friends.

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically develop and execute ideas for fresh, important coverage of money and politics in the Middle East.
  • Have the demonstrated ability to source up on a beat and deliver important, interesting and accurate stories.
  • Work well with colleagues in a team environment, including stringers and fixers.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of reporting experience.
  • Fluency in a regional language, preferably Arabic.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify sophisticated story lines and execute them with a high degree of independence.
  • Strong sourcing instincts.
  • An open mind and a strong sense of ethics.
