Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Lead
to take
end-to-end ownership of the Business Central platform
across multiple business units.
This role is responsible for ensuring the platform is
stable, scalable, and aligned with business transformation objectives
, while driving continuous improvement across finance, operations, and supply chain processes.
Platform Ownership & Governance
- Own and manage the Business Central platform across multiple entities
- Act as the single point of accountability for system performance, availability, and integrity
- Define and enforce governance, standards, and best practices
- Manage system upgrades, releases, and roadmap planning
Business Process Alignment
- Work closely with stakeholders across: Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales
- Ensure Business Central supports end-to-end business processes
- Identify gaps and drive process optimisation and automation
Configuration & Functional Management
- Lead configuration and enhancements within Business Central: Financials (GL, AP, AR), Inventory & warehousing, Order management
- Manage extensions, customisations, and integrations
Integration & Ecosystem Management
- Oversee integration with: Shopify (eCommerce), PIM / DAM platforms, 3PL / warehouse systems, Reporting tools (Power BI)
- Ensure data consistency and system interoperability
Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with: Microsoft partners, System integrators, External consultants
- Review and approve: Change requests, Quotations, Deliverables
Change Management & Support
- Own change requests and enhancements backlog
- Ensure proper testing, UAT, and deployment processes
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support oversight
- Drive user adoption and training initiatives
Data & Reporting
- Ensure data accuracy and governance
- Enable reporting and analytics through: Power BI, Business Central reporting
- Support finance and leadership with insight-driven reporting
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure platform aligns with: Financial controls, Audit requirements, Security policies
- Manage risks related to system changes and integrations
Essential
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Background in Microsoft ecosystem: Azure (basic understanding), Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate)
- Proven experience managing ERP platforms across multiple business units
- Strong understanding of: Finance processes, Inventory & supply chain
- Experience working with system integrations (API-based)
Desirable
- Experience in apparel / retail / B2B distribution
- Exposure to: Shopify, PIM/DAM platforms, 3PL integrations
- Experience in transformation programmes / ERP rollouts
