Job Summary
Support the Director of Security in managing daily security operations.
Protect guests, employees, property assets, and the hotel property.
Oversee accident and fire prevention and response and maintain legally required security records.
Candidate Profile
- A high school diploma or GED plus three years of relevant security or loss-prevention experience is one accepted qualification path.
- Alternatively, a two-year degree in Criminal Justice or a related major plus one year of relevant experience is accepted.
- First Aid and CPR certifications required for security officers must be maintained.
Managing Security Operations
- Assist with emergency procedures and recommend follow-up actions for security breaches.
- Investigate property losses and refer findings to appropriate management.
- Deploy security staff to monitor and protect property assets.
- Conduct patrols of the property and parking areas.
- Inspect security equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.
- Identify hazards, control risk, and implement local authority security and safety requirements.
