MES Engineer

MES Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) within our manufacturing facilities.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze production processes, configure MES software, and provide technical expertise to optimize manufacturing operations.

This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in MES software and related technologies.

This role will work at MOBIS Alabama, LLC - Savannah Plant (MSV).

• System Design and Configuration:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design MES solutions that align with manufacturing process needs and business objectives.
• Configure and customize MES software to meet specific manufacturing requirements, including process workflows, data collection, and reporting functionalities.
• Conduct testing and validation of MES systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• System Implementation and Integration:
• Support the implementation and deployment of MES systems in manufacturing facilities, working closely with project teams to ensure successful delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and contractors, to integrate MES systems with other manufacturing systems, such as ERP, SCADA, and PLCs.
• Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues during implementation and integration phases.
• System Maintenance and Support:
• Monitor the performance and availability of MES systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and disruptions to production operations.
• Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting system errors, and guiding them in utilizing MES functionalities effectively.
• Collaborate with IT teams to manage system upgrades, patches, and security enhancements.
• Process Improvement and Optimization:
• Analyze manufacturing processes, data, and workflows to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement using the MES system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, including automation of manual tasks, reduction of cycle times, and enhancement of production workflows through the utilization of MES functionalities.
