About the Role
Egis Group seeks a Technical Director to lead the technical direction of its data centre practice in the UAE and MESA region. The role involves setting standards, leading major bids, and acting as senior technical authority on mission-critical work.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and sign off authority across all data centre projects in the region
- Define and maintain MEP/ELV design standards and delivery frameworks for mission critical work
- Lead technical input on major bids and proposals across the MESA region
- Build and mentor a specialist data centre team within a 400+ strong MEP/ELV practice
- Engage with clients, hyperscalers, EPCs, and authorities at Director level
- Drive innovation across BIM, parametric design, and AI assisted workflows
- Represent Egis externally as the data centre practice establishes its market presence
Requirements
- 15+ years of MEP engineering experience with a significant portion in data centre or mission critical environments
- Demonstrable experience at Technical Director, Associate Director, or equivalent level
- Deep expertise across data centre MEP/ELV systems: HV/LV, generators, UPS, precision cooling, EPMS, DCIM, and ICT infrastructure
- Familiarity with Uptime Institute, TIA 942, and EN 50600 requirements
- Strong commercial awareness across fee negotiation, scope definition, and risk management
- Degree qualified with Chartered Engineer status (CEng or regional equivalent)
- GCC experience preferred; UAE track record a strong advantage
