Responsibilities
- Evaluate MEP requirements during concept and feasibility stages to ensure technical viability and budget alignment
- Conduct comprehensive design reviews at various milestones, identifying value engineering opportunities
- Provide expert input on specifications for MEP equipment and materials
- Lead preparation of MEP tender packages and perform technical and commercial bid evaluations
- Navigate technical approval process with local UAE authorities (DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, Civil Defense)
- Review and approve contractor shop drawings and Material Submittals
- Oversee QA/QC protocols on site, conducting regular inspections
- Manage MEP aspects of testing and commissioning for seamless transition to operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in MEP management
- Significant focus on fast track fit out projects (e.g., F&B outlets, boutique fitness clubs, luxury retail)
- Deep familiarity with UAE building codes and utility authority requirements (DEWA/SEWA/FEWA)
- Proven track record of managing MEP elements for high end commercial and hospitality portfolios

Role Purpose
- The MEP Manager for the Special Projects department will be responsible for end to end technical management of MEP systems across high end, fast track developments.
- Bridges the gap between initial concept and final handover, ensuring MEP services are designed for efficiency, compliant with UAE regulations, and executed to highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre Construction & Design Management: Evaluate MEP requirements during concept and feasibility stages; conduct design reviews; provide input on specifications.
- Tendering & Procurement: Lead preparation of MEP tender packages; perform technical and commercial bid evaluations; develop tender recommendation reports.
- Authority Compliance & Liaison: Navigate technical approval process with DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, and Civil Defense; ensure designs meet regulatory standards.
- Post Award & Site Execution: Review contractor shop drawings and Material Submittals; oversee QA/QC protocols; manage testing and commissioning.
Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in MEP management with focus on fast track fit out projects.
- Regional Knowledge: Deep familiarity with UAE building codes and utility authority requirements.
- Portfolio: Proven track record managing MEP for high end commercial and hospitality portfolios.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Fast Track Delivery: Ability to manage compressed timelines without sacrificing technical integrity.
- Detail Oriented: Strong capability in reviewing complex shop drawings and identifying coordination issues.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication to coordinate between consultants, contractors, and internal departments.
- Problem Solving: Proactive approach to troubleshooting site level MEP challenges.
