MEP Engineer - Electrical

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on MEP systems, with a strong focus on electrical design, integration, and compliance.
• Conduct high-level design reviews to ensure alignment with project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory codes.
• Perform detailed technical analysis to support design decisions and resolve engineering challenges.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure cohesive and efficient design solutions.
• Review and validate MEP drawings, specifications, and calculations, particularly for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Support the development of MEP design strategies, value engineering, and sustainability initiatives.
• Monitor design progress and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a strong background in electrical systems.
• Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering; Master鈥檚 degree or chartered status preferred.
• Proven experience in high-level design review and technical problem-solving.
• Proficiency in MEP design and analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit, Dialux, ETAP, HAP).
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Familiarity with Saudi building codes, SEC standards, and regional engineering regulations.
