Job Description

  • This role focuses on design review, technical submissions, and coordination to ensure that mechanical systems are properly detailed, approved, and aligned with project specifications and site requirements.
  • You will work closely with project managers, consultants, procurement teams, and site engineers to support smooth project execution.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, and BOQs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Preparing and reviewing shop drawings and material submittals for HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems.
  • Coordinating mechanical drawings with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines to avoid clashes.
  • Responding to RFIs and liaising with consultants for approvals and technical clarifications.
  • Supporting procurement by reviewing supplier quotations and technical data sheets.
  • Ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and authority requirements.
  • Assisting site teams with technical guidance and updated documentation.
  • Tracking submissions, approvals, and maintaining organized project records.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience working with a general contracting company in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems.
  • Experience in preparing shop drawings and technical submittals.
  • Familiarity with local authority regulations and approval processes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant engineering software.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple submissions and work within project deadlines.
