About the Role

Responsibilities
- Perform GMP manipulation in clean rooms and aseptic tissue processing for cellular therapies

- Monitor cleanroom environment and equipment, including liquid nitrogen levels
- Maintain confidentiality and proper storage of patient records
Requirements
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science/Technology or related field
- Minimum 5 7 years of experience, with 2 3 years in a similar position
- Experience in handling/processing aseptic tissues (stem cell culture, sub culturing, cell count, cell viability assay, cell maintenance & cell freezing)

Role Purpose
- To provide support to the Orthobiologics Laboratory in day to day running and regulatory compliance of the cellular therapies facility and associated clinical activities; to perform technical laboratory functions in specialty areas.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
- Adherence and compliance with cleanroom regulations focusing on aseptic techniques.
- Perform GMP Manipulation in Clean Rooms and aseptic tissue processing for cellular therapies.
- Comply with protocols for culture and transplantation of different cell sources.
- Be skilled and certified in cleanroom cell therapy Lab, prepare tissue culture media, supplements, and reagents.
- Acquire and analyze specimen data by flow cytometer.
- Perform quality control procedures, verify, document, and validate accuracy of laboratory data.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators for cleanroom facility.
- Participate in routine maintenance of clean room environment and ancillary facilities.
- Develop specialist skills to recognize anomalies and undertake investigation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and proper storage of patient records.
- Assist in development of research protocols and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement and quality surveillance activities.
Necessary Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum experience of 5 7 years with 2 3 years in a similar position.
- Well experienced in Orthobiological laboratory methods and techniques.
- Specialized knowledge in handling/processing aseptic tissues: stem cell culture, sub culturing, cell count, cell viability assay, cell maintenance & cell freezing.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent hand and eye coordination for manipulating aseptic materials.
- Able to work in restricted position for substantial time.
- Meticulous and pays attention to detail.
- Ability to work shifts and be on 24 hour on call roster.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good understanding of sciences related to orthobiological processes.
- Ability to work in multi disciplinary team and independently.
- Ability to multi task and work under pressure.
Education and Certification Requirements
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science/Technology or related field.
- Fulfill all licensing requirements; relevant Medical Licensure.
