Responsibilities
- Attend outpatient clinics and consult/examine patients under supervision
- Develop individualized plans of care from initial observation to follow up
- Participate in research and education programs as directed
- Observe surgical procedures and assist surgeons where possible
- Attend inpatient rounds with the surgeon
- Perform on call duties as agreed with Chief of Surgery
- Participate in sports event medical cover
- Keep accurate logbook of all clinical activities
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent)
- Eligibility for ACGME I accredited fellowship program
- Completion of residency in orthopedic surgery or equivalent
- Ability to work under supervision of Orthopaedic Surgeons

Role Purpose
- One year ACGME I accredited fellowship in orthopedic and sports surgery.
- Provides advanced clinical, surgical, academic, and research training.
- Works under supervision of Orthopaedic Surgeons as integral member of Surgical Services.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
- Participate in Research and Education program as directed.
- Participate in Sports Surgery Training Centre education activities.
- Meet all educational and competency requirements of ACGME I accredited fellowship.
- Attend Outpatient clinics and consult/examine patients under supervision.
- Develop individualized plan of care from initial observation to follow up.
- Demonstrate understanding of indications, risks, and limitations of procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of sports equipment and protective devices.
- Participate in peer review meetings and discussions.
- Keep accurate logbook of all clinical activities.
- Perform on call duties as agreed with Chief of Surgery.
- Participate in Sports event medical cover.
- Observe surgical procedures and assist surgeons where possible.

- Ensure compliance to all relevant QHSE management policies and procedures.
- Lead and direct management of change through continuous improvement.
- Contribute to organizational vision and mission.
- Provide guidance and direct input to development plans and performance management of direct reports.
- Assume any other responsibilities as assigned by direct supervisor.
- Attend and successfully complete competencies focusing on patient safety initiatives.
