- Collect blood, urine, stool, sputum, and other biological specimens
- Label, prepare, and store specimens correctly
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, and pathology
- Analyze specimens using laboratory instruments and equipment
- Conduct quality control checks before testing
- Record and verify test results accurately
- Identify abnormal findings and report to supervising pathologist or physician
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major malfunctions
- Follow laboratory quality standards and protocols
- Adhere to infection control and biosafety guidelines
- Dispose of biomedical waste according to regulations
Requirements
- Knowledge of laboratory testing in hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, and pathology
- Experience in sample collection and processing
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments and quality control procedures
- Understanding of infection control and biosafety guidelines
- Ability to maintain laboratory records and documentation

Sample Collection and Processing
- Collect blood, urine, stool, sputum, and other biological specimens

- Ensure proper handling and transportation of samples
Laboratory Testing
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, and pathology
- Analyze specimens using laboratory instruments and equipment
- Conduct quality control checks before testing
Result Analysis and Reporting
- Record and verify test results accurately
- Identify abnormal findings and report them to the supervising pathologist or physician
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and laboratory records
Equipment Maintenance
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major malfunctions

- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Assist in training new staff and students when required
- Support laboratory operations to ensure timely delivery of test results
