Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments (oral, IV, IM, etc.)
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility
- Manage wound care, dressing changes, and catheter care
- Support patients recovering from surgery, illness, or chronic conditions
- Regularly assess patients physical and mental health conditions
- Maintain accurate and up to date nursing notes, charts, and reports
- Report changes in the patients condition to physicians or healthcare supervisors promptly
- Use digital or manual systems to record patient progress and treatment effectiveness
- Educate patients and families about disease management, medication use, and self care practices
- Provide guidance on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle changes
- Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and family members
Requirements
- Coordinate care with doctors, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Communicate effectively with family members and caregivers
- Participate in care planning and follow up visits
- Follow hygiene and infection control protocols in home settings
- Ensure safe use of medical equipment and supplies
- Educate families on infection prevention and home safety practices
- Recognize and respond quickly to medical emergencies (e.g., cardiac arrest, respiratory distress)
- Administer first aid or basic life support (BLS) as needed
- Arrange for emergency medical services when required
