About the Role

Responsibilities
- Deliver instructor led training on Medical Coding, including ICD 10 CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Develop and update training materials, presentations, assignments, and assessments
- Conduct classroom, online, or hybrid training sessions as scheduled
- Explain medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes relevant to coding
- Provide practical coding exercises, case studies, and real world scenarios
- Evaluate learner performance and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare students for certification exams such as CPC, CCS, CCA, or equivalent
- Track attendance, assessments, and training progress
- Stay updated with coding regulations, payer guidelines, and healthcare industry developments
- Support learners with career guidance and interview preparation when required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Information Management, or a related healthcare field
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), CCS, CCA, CIC, or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum 2–5 years of hands on Medical Coding experience
- Previous training or teaching experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of ICD 10 CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to simplify complex coding concepts for learners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual learning platforms
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and passionate Part Time Medical Coding Trainer to deliver engaging and practical training sessions on medical coding concepts, coding guidelines, healthcare documentation, and industry best practices.
- The trainer will be responsible for preparing learners for industry recognized certifications and developing their coding proficiency for healthcare careers.
Key Responsibilities
