RoadTek is seeking a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to join our Mackay workshop team and help maintain the fleet that supports the delivery of vital road and transport infrastructure projects across Queensland. Based at our Mackay depot, this permanent full-time role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of heavy vehicles, earthmoving plant and auxiliary equipment in both workshop and field environments.As a Mechanical Tradesperson, you'll perform repairs, servicing, preventative maintenance and fault diagnostics to ensure fleet assets remain safe, reliable and operational. You'll also attend breakdowns, undertake fabrication and welding activities, maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to a strong safetyculture through hazard identification and risk management.Why RoadTek?RoadTek is the Queensland Government's commercial road infrastructure business, delivering transport infrastructure solutions across the state. - A completed mechanical trade qualification, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent.
- A current Queensland C Class driver's licence.
- Strong experience in heavy vehicle, plant or mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
- Sound diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards.
