- Carry out repairs and respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment logs
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures

- High School Certificate or Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field
- Experience in operation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment or water distribution systems

Job Summary
- We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the operation and maintenance of water treatment and distribution systems.
- The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of water production facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of water treatment plants, pumping stations, and distribution systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults using technical manuals and diagnostic tools.
- Carry out repairs and respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements.
- Assist in supervising maintenance activities and ensure work is completed according to established procedures.
- Perform other duties assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Certificate or Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
- Experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment or water distribution systems.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, pipelines, and water treatment equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Proficiency in using maintenance and diagnostic tools.
- Good understanding of water treatment processes and safety procedures.
- Strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills
