Maintenance Responsibilities
- Handle mechanical equipment breakdowns and planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance to minimize production downtime.
- Assess allocated jobs and select the tools and equipment needed to complete the work.
- Perform maintenance in accordance with safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
- Use SAP to order spare parts and maintain records of completed maintenance work.
- Monitor repeated breakdowns and recommend or complete modifications to resolve problems.
- Identify abnormalities and perform repairs, replacements, tests, and component overhauls.
- Perform welding and fabrication work.
- Mentor newly joined mechanics on plant and equipment knowledge.
- Assist other departments with equipment repair and troubleshooting.
Operations and Records
- Participate in EHS and plant performance improvement activities, including suggestion schemes, 5S, and hazard reporting.
- Enter work and manning records into maintenance management systems.
- Perform day or shift duties with technicians, craftsmen, and contractors as assigned.
- Perform daily preventive maintenance, running inspections, and checklists according to maintenance plans.
- Perform other related duties communicated by the supervisor or technician.
