Role Overview
Senior technician role focused on electrical maintenance, protection systems, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Technical Responsibilities
- Test and commission power and distribution transformer protection systems.
- Troubleshoot HV/LV switchgear control circuits and protection.
- Maintain power and distribution transformers and HV/LV switchgear.
- Work with turbine generator, motor, cable, feeder, and busbar protection systems.
- Use primary and secondary injection test kits.
Required Experience
- Experience with gas turbine and steam turbine generator protection systems from Areva, Siemens, Schneider, ABB, or GE.
- Experience with 132KV/33KV gas insulated switchgear.
- Experience with HV motor protection systems.
- Experience with HV cable differential and feeder protection systems.
- Experience with low- and high-impedance busbar protection systems, including REB500 and REB670.
- Competence using primary and secondary injection test kits.
