For you to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant industrial experience, or ITI/Vocational certification in Mechanical with a minimum of 6 years of experience (preferred).
Basic command of the English language.
Welding certification is an advantage.
Hands-on experience with heavy industrial equipment such as ship unloaders, conveyors, and stackers.
Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices, tools, and techniques.
Ability to diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
Familiarity with safety procedures and best practices in maintenance environments.
Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare clear reports.
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and safety.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
