Responsibilities
- Undertake detailed maintenance, inspection and supervision activities on the Typhoon and its components.
- Assure work carried out has been completed in accordance with the work package using the relevant approved technical information.
- Resolve faults and maintenance issues, including configuration management.
- Supervise the team to ensure maintenance is undertaken to schedule and escalate issues as required.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the team, developing team members using formal assessment processes.
Requirements
- Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or military equivalent
- Academic qualification: minimum City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years working at Technician level prior to undertaking a Supervisor role
- Broad and in depth product knowledge/competency within own technical/subject area
- Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices

Role Overview
- The post holder will be an experienced and skilled mechanical technician and supervisor undertaking a range of detailed maintenance activities on the Typhoon aircraft or aircraft components.
- Demonstrates a distinct ability to analyze and diagnose faults to aircraft systems, equipment and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking detailed maintenance, inspection and supervision activities on the Typhoon and its components.
- Assuring work carried out has been completed in accordance with the work package using the relevant approved technical information.
- Resolving faults and maintenance issues, including configuration management.
- Undertaking and complete tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities on the Typhoon aircraft or components.
- Demonstrate a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role.
- Maintain personal task authorizations for working on aircraft or components.
- Ensuring that maintenance is undertaken to schedule and resolve any issues, escalate as required.
- Undertaking fault evaluation and raise ad hoc work cards for 'found faults' during maintenance.
- Supervising the team to ensure that maintenance is undertaken to schedule and highlight any issues.
- Ensuring that staff are sufficiently competent and approved for the maintenance tasks allocated to them.
- Undertaking support tasks within the Aircraft or component maintenance facility.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the team.
Requirements
