About the Role

Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor all Electrical and Mechanical (MEP) works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and inspection of MEP systems for building projects
- Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, safety standards, and project quality requirements
- Review contractor shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and inspection requests
- Conduct routine site inspections and prepare inspection reports
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical issues
- Monitor construction progress and report any non conformance, defects, or delays
- Witness testing and commissioning activities and verify compliance with project specifications
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with approved schedules and quality standards
- Attend site meetings and provide technical support to the Resident Engineer and Project Management team
- Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and inspection documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience, with strong UAE experience in Building Construction and Supervision projects
- Proven experience as a Site Electrical Inspector or Site Mechanical Inspector on large scale building developments
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, authority regulations, and international standards
- Experience in inspection, testing, commissioning, and quality control of MEP systems
- Excellent understanding of contract specifications, drawings, and project documentation
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills

Job Overview
- Khatib & Alami is seeking experienced Site Electrical Inspectors & Mechanical Inspectors to join our Building Supervision team in Abu Dhabi.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and ensuring that all MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, UAE authority regulations, and international quality standards.

- UAE Driving License is an advantage.
